With the continuous advancement of technology, our liquid silicone production process is also constantly being upgraded. Below, Hanast will take you to talk about the current mainstream molding methods of our silicone molding process.
First: "Molding molding" is also the most widely used molding method by most of our silicone rubber product manufacturers, and it is also the simplest one. The process flow is to put the silicone rubber material prepared in advance. Installed in the mold cavity of the vulcanization molding machine, the mold also needs to set the appropriate mold temperature according to the different materials, and then hot press molding and vulcanization for a period of time to obtain the products we need. The product obtained in this way is called compression molding.
Second: The molding method of "transfer molding" is similar to the compression molding method. The main difference is the mold structure. The transfer mold will have a fixed area for placing materials. When the mold is closed, the material will be dispersed in the mold due to the pressure of the mold. The flow channel opening on the mold is injected into the mold cavity, and after a period of vulcanization, the product we need is obtained. This molding method is called transfer molding in the industry.
Third: The molding method of "injection molding" is suitable for making products with relatively high product precision and relatively complex structures. Injection molding combines compression molding and transfer molding. It no longer requires manual insertion of materials into the mold cavity but through The injection molding machine automatically feeds the raw materials, mixes them, and first feeds them into the injection barrel of the machine. Then, through piston movement, the material is injected into the mold cavity through the mold injection port and flow channel, similar to the principle of a syringe, and finally vulcanized.
