Organic silicone adhesives are mainly silicone rubber adhesives, and their components include organic silane or silicone rubber, fillers, tackifiers, curing agents, catalysts, etc.
Introduction to the components of organic silicone adhesive:
1. Body material. Provides heat resistance, adhesion, and curable properties, such as organosilane, methyl silicone rubber, etc.
2. Filler. Used to improve the adhesion, heat resistance, and reinforcement of silicone. Typically, those with larger surface areas are used, such as pyrolytic silica (white carbon black), diatomite, titanium dioxide, and carbon black.
3. Tackifier. Used for surface treatment of white carbon black. It is added to organosilicon adhesives together with silica to help improve adhesion properties. The commonly used tackifiers are organosilane, siloxane, and silicone resin.
4. Curing agent. The main uses are peroxides such as dioctyl phthalate and ammonium carbonate.
5. Catalyst. Catalysts, such as dibutyltin and tin laurate, must be added to vulcanize and crosslink hydroxyl containing silicone rubber at room temperature.
