What should I do if liquid silicone bubbles during operation?

Liquid silicone has a wide range of uses and can be used in mold manufacturing for crafts, cement, brick carvings, cakes, chocolates, etc. It can also be directly used to make products, such as pacifiers. It can also be used for sealing purposes, such as electronic potting, liquid tank potting, etc. Then certain operations need to be carried out before making products, such as proportioning with curing agent, mixing, vacuuming, mold filling or mold brushing, etc. This process is carried out in an air environment. The longer the silica gel is mixed, the more bubbles will appear. If these bubbles are not eliminated, they will have many effects on the product. If the bubbles in the mold silicone are not eliminated, the mold will not be durable and smooth, and the finished product will have defects; if the bubbles are not eliminated in the silicone used for potting, water, mist or dust will enter the product, affecting the service life of the product. How should we deal with the problem of foaming in liquid silicone operations? Common methods for handling liquid silicone bubbles are as follows:
1. Pay attention to the mixing direction and speed. Mixing in the same direction during mixing can reduce the occurrence of bubbles;
2. You can use a vacuum machine for vacuuming. When the vacuum meter displays -0.1mpa, it means that the vacuuming is completed. This method is generally used by manufacturers who use liquid silicone rubber in large quantities or for a long time. What about DIY workshops or customers who use liquid silicone rubber in small quantities? The following two methods can be used;
3. Leave the silica gel for a period of time and wait for bubbles to appear. Use a sharp tool to pop the bubbles;
4. Silica gel contains a small amount of volatile substances, which vaporize to form bubbles when heated and solidified. You can use low-temperature baking to evaporate these impurities first, and then increase the temperature for solidification, which can eliminate bubbles. This method is only applicable to addition-type liquid silicone rubber.
No matter which method is used to remove bubbles from liquid silicone rubber, attention should be paid to the control of the operation time to prevent premature curing of silicone, resulting in waste of liquid silicone.
