Why do transparent liquid silicone products turn yellow?

Transparent liquid silicone products will not turn yellow after being placed normally for several years, but sometimes during production, some newly released transparent silicone products look yellow, as if the color has changed. Why do transparent liquid silicone products turn yellow?

     The properties of vulcanizing agents are divided into general-purpose and anti-yellowing properties.

     1. General non-yellowing vulcanizing agents can be used for non-exposed silicone products with darker colors or lower color requirements.

     2. Anti-yellowing vulcanization agent is used for products that require exposure, light color, gorgeous color and high color requirements.

      When transparent liquid silicone products are formed, the production process is not well controlled, causing the transparent silicone products to turn yellow after being formed. The main questions are:

3. The quality of the raw materials itself is too poor

     Sometimes we add an anti-yellowing vulcanizing agent to the silicone, but the transparent silicone product still looks yellow after molding. This may be because the anti-yellowing property of the raw material is too poor, and it is recommended to replace the material directly.
