Candle mold silicone belongs to a type of liquid silicone rubber, which can replicate the fine patterns of candles and is easy to demold after molding. Suitable for making various holiday candles, DIY candles, candle crafts, and other molds. How to demold a silicone candle mold? Below, HANAST will analyze the techniques for you.
1. Before pouring the silicone material into the melted candle mold, it is necessary to treat the DIY candle silicone mold to facilitate demolding, which is where the technique lies. Silicone molds need to be sprayed with release agents. As for release agents, oil-based release agents specifically designed for silicone release can be used, or more convenient release agents can be used, such as detergent water, soap water, Vaseline, etc. Regardless of the type of release agent used, it is necessary to evenly apply the release agent to every part of the mold in contact with the candle. If using dishwashing detergent or soapy water, it is necessary to dry it before pouring in paraffin slurry, and a hair dryer can be used.
2. When demolding after the candle has solidified, do not forcefully squeeze out the candle at the bottom of the mold. First, slowly break open the edges of the mold to separate it from the outer part of the candle, and then press the bottom of the mold upwards to demold. If the structure of the candle is complex, it is necessary to cut the mold out of the demolding line in order to demold and remove the candle. When cutting the demolding line, the straight line method cannot be used, and the wavy line should be cut; Sliced candle molds can also be used to prevent the wax slurry from flowing out.
