After purchasing silicone, as long as the instructions for using silicone in the mold are followed during operation, silicone will not be wasted. Often, some customers do not pay attention to the instructions for using silicone in the mold for the first time, resulting in silicone scrapping or finding fault with the manufacturer. In fact, 80% of silicone scrapping is caused by improper customer operation.
1, silicone should not come into contact with carbon, nitrogen, sulfur, phosphorus or heavy metal elements such as lead and copper, otherwise it may cause silicone to oil or not solidify. It is best not to operate silicone after smoking, otherwise poisoning may also occur.
2, mold silicone is divided into condensed silicone and additive silicone. The weight ratio of condensed silicone is 100:2-5100, which is silicone and 2-5 is curing agent. If too much or too little is added, it may lead to slow or complete non curing of silicone. The weight ratio of additive silicone is 1:1, and after the silicone ratio is completed, it can be cured by standing at room temperature for 24 hours. Additive silicone can be heated and cured in a microwave or oven.
3, the condensation type silicone and the addition type silicone cannot share the same container and operation work, otherwise it will be dry outside and dry inside, or even scrapped. During the mold turning time, please first apply the mold release agent to the mold seed. The condensation type can only use soap, and the addition type is best to use Vaseline.
The operation of silicone is divided into pouring into the mold and brushing the mold; Inverting the mold is to pour silicone into the frame surrounded by the mold, while brushing the mold is to use a brush to brush the surface of the mold, paste a layer of silicone, and then disperse it on the surface with fiberglass. Three operations are sufficient.
