Condensed silicone, also known as industrial grade mold silicone, is used for turning molds on industrial buildings and handicrafts, or hand made soap turning molds, and so on. The forming process mainly includes two types: reverse mold and brush mold.
What is the difference between these two forming processes?
What hardness of silicone material should be used separately?
Let's explain to you about Hongtu Silicone below.
Condensed mold silicone is a two component silicone that requires the addition of 2% curing agent to cure and form. Generally speaking, brush molds are used for large products, so the hardness requirement is also relatively high. In production, 2-3 layers of gauze need to be laid to increase its toughness, and the hardness is generally chosen to be around 25-30 hardness.
Do reverse molding, also known as pouring molding. All for making small products! The hardness requirement is relatively low, otherwise the mold cannot be flipped. Usually, the hardness is chosen between 5 and 20 hardness, and in special cases, lower hardness silicone may be chosen.
In fact, regardless of the hardness, as long as it is suitable for oneself, it is good. No matter what hardness of silicone raw material you need, Hongtu can meet your needs and prepare the silicone you need.
