What is RTV-2 silicone

RTV-2 silicone is a liquid silicone rubber with fluidity, prepared by compounding components such as silicone rubber, crosslinking agent, and filler. RTV silicone is a solvent free, corrosion-free, single component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. RTV-2 silicone is mainly used for mold making, such as gypsum, cultural stones, brick carvings, resin handicrafts, candles and other product molds. It can also be used for embossing of artificial leather, shoe soles, ceramics, toys, electronic product replication, etc. It can also be used for waterproof and sealing of electronic products, instruments, and electronic product encapsulation.

RTV-2 silicone is characterized by high temperature resistance and aging resistance. After curing, it has the elasticity of printing, and is not sticky with other materials. It can maintain a certain elasticity at - 40~500 °. At the same time, it has good electrical performance and chemical stability, such as water resistance, oxygen resistance, non-toxic, corrosion free, etc. The produced mold has advantages such as high tear resistance, high stretching, low shrinkage, and multiple mold turns. RTV-2 liquid silicone has very strong plasticity and can replicate some relatively detailed and small patterns.
RTV-2 silicone operation. As RTV-2 silicone is a liquid mixture with certain flowability, it needs to be mixed with a catalyst to produce various silicone products. In addition to the need to mix with the catalyst, the RTV-2 silicone mixture after mixing must be evenly stirred, and then poured, brushed, or machine methods can be used to produce silicone products. The produced silicone products have a certain elasticity after curing.
