What is used to measure the hardness of human silicone?

Human silicone is a type of two-component RTV-2 liquid silicone. Because it is widely used in the production of simulated character models, silicone prosthetics, breast pads, adult equipment, and film and television props, it is also known as human silicone. Of course, this is also graded. The most commonly used ones are those that have passed FDA food-grade contact certification, which is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, odorless, and have relatively good elasticity and texture.
When it comes to choosing a suitable silicone for the human body, the first thing to consider is the application field and product, followed by the ideal silicone softness. The hardness is tested using a Shore A hardness tester. For example, a silicone gel with a hardness of 0 degrees is close to that of human skin, while a softer one is below 0 degrees and requires a C-type hardness tester for measurement. The measurement standard should be based on a test surface larger than 1cm, which is more informative, or a specialized testing instrument.
