Are food grade silicone transparent?
Many people are not particularly familiar with food grade silicone, and may also have questions about whether food grade silicone is all transparent. Can I make it in other colors, There are two types of food grade silicone: solid silicone and liquid silicone. Most basic colors are semi transparent and transparent, while other colors are adjusted through color paste. HANAST silicone can be adjusted in different colors according to customer requirements.
Regarding the selection of silicone color, it is necessary to refer to the Pantone color card number or other color card numbers, preferably with an officially recognized standard, so that the color selection can be more accurate. Because the colors we see through electronic screens are biased, using color cards can address this issue; However, there is no way to make the color 100% identical. The silica gel depth of each batch will have different degrees of deviation. The color can be adjusted very closely, but it is unlikely to be the same. So during the process of making products, it is important to pay attention. If the product has particularly high color requirements, it is recommended to have a professional color mixer by your side for face-to-face color matching, which will bring it closer.
Regarding liquid silicone color matching, there are some points that you need to pay careful attention to. Of course, if you are outsourcing to HANAST silicone color matching, you don't need to pay attention. Simply use silicone instead. Here are some tips to share. There are two materials used for color matching: one is color powder, and the other is color paste; The addition of color palette is relatively simple, just arrange the proportion to add; Attention should be paid to the color mixing paste. The viscosity of the color paste is particularly high. If the color is mixed evenly with the silicone gel, impurities may appear, leading to defects in the produced product. The best method is to take a small amount of silicone gel (which is usually composed of component B and also component A, depending on the production process of each manufacturer) and mix it with the color paste in a small container. After stirring evenly, Then pour it into a large bucket of silica gel for component B and stir it. If there is a large amount of silica gel, it is recommended to use a stirrer to stir it evenly; When mixing, it is necessary to pay attention to the edge of the barrel to prevent the inner side from being difficult to mix due to the large size of the mixer. After mixing, it is necessary to filter again through a filter screen to ensure that the silicone is free of impurities. The principle of solid silicone color matching is similar, but solid silicone is a bit more troublesome than liquid silicone and requires professional machines for color matching, so I won't share any more.
There is another method of color matching, which is estimated to be done after the finished product is painted and colored, such as silicone wax figurines, silicone dolls, or silicone artworks. In order to achieve realistic effects, silicone ink can be used. Silicone ink needs to be heated and cured to better adhere to it.
