How to handle silicone adhesive molds for food grade molds
During the process of making food grade silicone molds, there are more or less difficulties in demolding silicone molds. Demolding silicone mold products is the most crucial step, and the problem of silicone mold sticking seriously affects the production efficiency of silicone products.
how to solve the problem of difficult demolding
HANAST editor, here are some tips for you
1. What to do when faced with the problem of silicone sticking to food grade molds due to the cooling weather?
In this case, it is recommended to buy an oven. Heating the oven can greatly improve the crosslinking and curing speed of silicone. Normally, making a silicone mold and heating it in an oven at 80-100 degrees Celsius can completely cure in about 10 minutes. This product not only has fast efficiency, but also does not stick to the mold!
If there is no oven and the weather is cold, the operating environment temperature can be increased, such as turning on the heating or air conditioning. Liquid food grade mold silicone can solidify more quickly and effectively in an environment of 20-25 degrees Celsius.
2. Sticking to the mold is not a problem with the silicone itself, but rather with the mold being the main factor. What should we do?
Soak the resin mold in Dishwashing liquid water for about 2 hours (pay attention to warm water). The ratio of Dishwashing liquid to water is 1:5. Take it out after soaking for 2 hours, and then dry it in the oven. The food grade silicone mold made in this way will not stick to the mold in the future. If it is a relatively fine mold, it is best to vacuum for about 1 minute when soaking!
