Power ballasts in heat dissipation applications

If the heat generated by household appliances, kitchen appliances, and other electrical equipment during normal operation cannot be dissipated, it can lead to excessive junction temperatures, which can impact the product's lifespan, operational efficiency, and stability. Therefore, effective heat dissipation is crucial for all electrical appliances. This article primarily introduces the application of heat transfer sealing adhesives in ballasts.
Ballast thermal potting adhesives, also known as ballast electronic potting adhesives, are flame-retardant silicone products. They possess excellent thermal conductivity and heat dissipation capabilities, improving local high temperatures within the power supply and effectively reducing internal temperatures. This reduction can be as much as 10% to 30%, thereby prolonging component lifespan and enhancing the overall quality and reliability of the power supply. These adhesives have low shrinkage rates, extremely low coefficients of thermal expansion, and minimal stress, improving the product's shock resistance, and component protection, and reducing noise from power supply operations. The sealing process is a physical transformation that generates minimal by-products, making it environmentally friendly. These adhesives are highly waterproof and moisture-resistant, offering superior protection against moisture, dust, and corrosion, enabling reliable use of power supply products in outdoor and other harsh environments. They also have excellent insulation properties and a dielectric strength exceeding 25 kV/mm, making them suitable for sealing high-voltage power supplies. After sealing, these adhesives can significantly improve the safety and anti-leak performance of power supplies.
