Solution to large shrinkage of mold silicone

Analysis of the causes of large shrinkage of mold silicone:
1. Any material has a certain degree of shrinkage. Compared with many materials, silicone rubber has a very small shrinkage rate. The normal shrinkage rate of condensation mold silicone is 0.5-1%, and the shrinkage rate of addition mold silicone is around 0.2%.
2. The mold storage method is incorrect.
3. The larger the size of the product, the more obvious the shrinkage will be.
4. No fiberglass cloth is added to large-scale products.
5. The curing agent addition ratio is too large.
6. The mold is not completely cured and the hardness of the silicone is not stable. If you rush to demould or produce in advance, the silicone mold will easily deform and shrink.
Solution to large shrinkage of mold silicone:
1. The original model needs to be enlarged proportionally.
2. When the mold is not in use, fill it with gypsum water and store it. When it is time to produce, take out the gypsum product so that the re-produced product will not shrink.
3. Reduce the proportion of curing agent added, for example: originally added 5%, now reduced to 3%.
4. When making large product molds, fiberglass cloth should be added to prevent the mold from deforming or becoming larger.
5. The mold must be demoulded at least 6-8 hours within the specified time, and can be used for production after 24 hours.
