What is the platinum curing agent and what is the use method of the platinum curing agent

What is platinum vulcanizing agent? Platinum vulcanizing agent is a two-component addition molding silica gel vulcanizing agent, also known as platinum water, A/B two-component. It is in the presence of catalyst, hydrogen-containing silicone oil and vinyl double bonds undergo hydrosilylation reaction, so as to achieve the purpose of cross-linking vulcanization. It is popular in the silica gel industry because of its low vulcanization temperature, high vulcanization speed and other characteristics.

Use method of platinum curing agent

（1） Moldless hot air sulfur adding:

1. High tensile silica gel raw material (i.e. silica gel filled with fumed silica)
2. Recommended addition ratio: C-100B: 2.0~2.5%; C-100A：0.5~0.6%
3. Sulfur adding condition: the temperature of IR (6m) must be ± 5 ℃ constant temperature.
4. Preliminary sulfur adding stage: use IR heating to rapidly pass through sulfur adding at 190~200 ℃ (40~60 seconds).
5. Complete the sulfur adding stage: use the silica gel that has passed the preliminary sulfur adding and then conduct the sulfur adding at the following temperature to achieve the complete sulfur adding process.

① The sulfur adding temperature is 155~165 ℃, and the sulfur adding time is 3~5 minutes; ② The sulfur adding temperature is 165~175 ℃, and the sulfur adding time is 3 minutes; ③ The sulfur adding temperature is above 175 ℃, and the sulfur adding time is 2 minutes.
2. For ordinary silica gel raw material (i.e. silica gel filled with precipitated white carbon black)
2.1 Recommended addition ratio: C-100B: 1.5~2.0%; C-100A：0.5~0.6%
2.2 Sulfur adding conditions: the temperature of IR (6m) must be ± 5 ℃ constant temperature.
2.3. Preliminary sulfur adding stage: heat with IR and use 140 ℃ (40-50 seconds) to quickly pass the IR preliminary sulfur adding.
2.4. Complete sulfur adding stage: complete sulfur adding process is achieved through initial sulfur adding silica gel and then the following sulfur adding temperature.
① The sulfur adding temperature is 80~90 ℃, and the sulfur adding time is 7 minutes; ② The sulfur adding temperature is 95~110 ℃, and the sulfur adding time is 5 minutes; ③ The sulfur adding temperature is 115~135 ℃, and the sulfur adding time is 4 minutes.

（2） Add sulfur to oil pressure machine

1. Recommended addition ratio: C-100B: 1.0~1.5%; C-100A：0.5%
2. Recommended mold temperature: 115~135 ℃ (200~300 seconds)
3. Suggested sulfur adding time: the customer shall adjust it according to the thickness or type of the product.
