Friends who frequently use silicone products may encounter a problem, which is, how can silicone products be stuck when they break and have gaps? We all know that once silicone is broken, it is easy to tear open. If it is not glued in time and causes complete rupture, it is already scrapped. Therefore, the question we are discussing today is: what can be used to stick silicone products, and what can be used to stick silicone products?
Usually, when something breaks down in our daily lives and needs to be glued together, the first thing that comes to mind is glue. Yes, what can be used to stick silicone products together,The answer is also glue. Of course, the glue used to bond silicone needs to be a silicone-specific glue.
Silicone glue can be roughly divided into two categories: quick-drying glue and silicone glue. When using quick-drying adhesive for bonding, the silicone needs to be pre-treated with a specialized silicone adhesive treatment agent, volatile solvent, spray, brush, or soak the silicone and let it dry for 3 to 5 minutes, then use quick-drying adhesive for bonding! The advantage of using quick-drying adhesive for bonding is that it can be immediately bonded, making it suitable for small-area silicone bonding. The disadvantage is that it cannot be soaked in water for a long time, and is resistant to temperatures of 40-80 degrees. After the glue is completely cured, it becomes hard and brittle.
The second type of silicone adhesive has two types of moisture:
1. Single component RTV room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber adhesive, paste-like, semi-flowing, slow drying, 10-minute surface drying, fully cured within 24 hours.
2. AB two-component HTV heat-cured silicone rubber adhesive, paste-like, semi-flowing, heat-cured and quick drying. Mix the adhesive in proportion and complete the bonding operation with the assistance of specialized heating and curing equipment. The curing time ranges from 5 seconds to 20 seconds (depending on the thickness, diameter, and size of the silicone product). After complete curing, this type of adhesive is elastic, soft, waterproof, and resistant to temperatures above -60 to 200 degrees.
