Here is a brief introduction of the differences between the three potting adhesives:
1. Epoxy resin adhesive
Most of them are hard and some are soft. The biggest advantage is that it has good adhesion to hard materials, can not be opened after sealing, high hardness, good insulation performance, common temperature resistance is 100, and the temperature resistance of heating curing is about 80 ℃
2. Silicone resin potting adhesive
After curing, it is mostly soft and has poor adhesion; Advantages: high and low temperature resistance, can be used at 200 ℃ for a long time, heating curing type has higher temperature resistance, better insulation performance than epoxy resin, can withstand more than 10000 V, moderate price, and good repair.
3. Polyurethane potting adhesive
The adhesive property is between epoxy and silicone, the temperature resistance is general, generally not more than 100 ℃, and there are many bubbles, so vacuum pouring is necessary. Advantages: good low-temperature resistance.
LED driver power potting adhesive is suitable for potting protection of general electronic components, power modules and circuit boards, as well as potting of various electronic appliances, such as switching power supply, driving power supply, automobile HID lamp module power supply, automobile ignition system module power supply, home appliance controller, network voltage converter, etc.
Here's how to use the potting glue for LED driver power supply:
1. Before mixing
Components A and B shall be fully mixed manually or mechanically to avoid the change of performance due to the settlement of fillers.
2. Mixing
Weigh the two components according to the 1:1 ratio and put them into a clean container and stir them evenly. The error shall not exceed 3%, otherwise the performance after curing will be affected.
3. Deaeration
Natural defoaming: leave the mixed glue for 20-30 minutes;
Vacuum defoaming: vacuum degree is 0.08-0.1MPa, vacuumize for 5-10 minutes.
4. Perfusion
The rubber shall be filled within the operation time, otherwise the leveling will be affected. The substrate surface shall be kept clean and dry before potting.
